Terms & conditions

These conditions explain your rights and responsibilities and those of Get My Bagasi. Where we say “you” we mean the customer; “we”, “us” and “our” mean Get My Bagasi. These conditions can only be changed by written agreement.

1. Your responsibility

It is your responsibility to keep items organised and ready for packing; ensure items are clean and intact; be present or represented throughout packing; take reasonable steps to ensure nothing to be packed is left behind and nothing is packed in error; and to prepare and stabilise appliances or electronic equipment before packing.

2. Our quotation

Our quotation is a fixed price. Unless stated otherwise it does not include insurance, interstate or entry taxes, customs duties, or other fees payable to government bodies. We may revise the price if items are added beyond those listed, if work is carried out outside office hours or on holidays at your request, if collection or delivery involves upper floors or inadequate access, or if our costs change due to fuel, currency or freight beyond our control. A quotation is valid for 30 days.

3. Charges & payment

Charges are inclusive of packing, pickup, transit and doorstep delivery. 18% GST is levied additionally as per notification of the Government of India. Payment terms are 50% in advance and the balance on delivery, via online banking, GPay, PhonePe, Paytm or cash. Copies of your Aadhaar or government ID and, for vehicles, the RC, are required at pickup.

4. Insurance & liability (owner’s risk)

All consignments are booked under owner’s risk only. We are not liable for loss or damage through accident, pilferage, fire, rain, collision or any other road or river hazard. We therefore recommend that goods be covered under carrier-risk insurance for an additional charge — please ask at our desk when booking.

5. Prohibited items

Certain items cannot be packed, carried or shipped. Please review our prohibited items before booking.

6. Delays beyond our control

We will not be responsible for delays in delivery beyond our control, such as natural calamities, political or general strikes, accidents, government interventions, or similar events.

7. Cancellation & lien

Please give reasonable notice to cancel or reschedule a booking. We may hold a general lien over goods for any unpaid charges due to us.
